The Senior Copywriter role is ideal for a seasoned content pro, and a wizard with words, who wants to make a big impact on a growing industry. You will work alongside (virtually for now) the content director and the rest of the marketing team to create clear and compelling messaging across all channels. No jargon, no tech cliches, and definitely no boring copy! Our ideal candidate is an independent contributor who can wear many hats and is both creative, yet analytical, with the ability to use data and insights to continually improve our content. Plan to spend about 3/4 of your time writing, with the rest of your day and week spent talking to subject matter experts, diving into industry research, and project managing the fine details associated with each campaign.

Responsibilities

  • Write, write, write. Your keyboard will not collect dust
  • Create copy for: blog, ebooks, email campaigns, website, product assets, ad campaigns, video scripts, social media, case studies, and more
  • Think like a journalist to uncover great stories and work across departments, including product marketing, sales, and customer success (or look outside the company for market research and data) to gather the information you need 
  • Create an editorial calendar and manage initiatives that include social media, creative campaigns, and other content directives
  • Help to create style guidelines, content templates, and other assets that can be used across the company to ensure on-brand content regardless of who creates it
  • Be an advocate and evangelize great storytelling across all departments

The Ideal Candidate

  • 5-7 years of relevant copywriting, journalism, or content marketing experience with either a BtoB or consumer brand. Agency experience thrown in the mix is a plus
  • A word nerd who can quickly catch a typo, throw down a pun, or sneak in a phrase that rhymes with artificial intelligence
  • Continuously curious and capable of understanding and researching evolving market trends that resonate with our audience
  • Self-motivated and collaborative
  • Experience with SEO, content management tools, and related analytics platforms.
  • Thrives in a fast-paced, startup environment
